May Trip #8 - Monument Valley

Sunrise over Monument Valley

Monument Valley
Navajo Tribal Park

We explored Monument Valley. Up at sunrise but had to wait for full daylight to get into the park. We drove the gravel and dirt road out and back. The van did well except for one little uphill that was obviously a problem for others. Backed up and tried again with success.

Monument Valley was awesome!

I really don't need to say much more. Enjoy the ride and the views.

One of the "Mittens"

This is tribal land and there are Navajos living within the park.
We did see this sign so there may be some disadvantages to living here,
the scenery is spectacular though.
